Age of Conan slays 400,000
Of course, no challenge is too great for Conan the Barbarian. Funcom said today that more than 400,000 players have stepped into the online realm of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. Not long after the game launched for the PC last week, Funcom stated that the collector's edition for its M-for-Mature-rated MMOG had indefinitely sold out.

Age of Conan is presently in closed beta and is slated for release on both PC and Xbox 360. While the PC version will be running on DirectX 10, the Xbox 369 version will be utilizing DirectX 9.

Age of Conan Collector's Edition Completely Sold Out
The DirectX 10 version will be premiered at the German Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany, August 20 - 24, 2008. A special preview showing off the advanced graphics made possible by DirectX 10 technology will be unveiled this summer at nVidia's NVISION event in San Jose, California, August 25 - 27, 2008.
